How the Letters in Linen Canvas Builder Works, Step by Step

The Canvas Builder is how you design a custom lettering canvas with us, without needing any design skills. You choose the shape, write your words, pick your colours and watch a live preview change as you go. It is quick to try, and nothing is made until you have seen a quote and approved it.

Step 1: shape and size

You begin by choosing portrait, landscape or square, then a size from the list for that shape. Sizes run from 25 x 20 cm up to 150 x 100 cm. The preview canvas changes proportion immediately, so you can see the difference between, say, a tall 91 x 61 cm and a square 61 x 61 cm without imagining it.

Step 2: your words

Type your text into the box. Line breaks are kept, so you control how the words are stacked. Then set the text size with the slider, choose whether the words sit at the top, middle or bottom, and whether they align left, centre or right. This step is also where you choose the surface, smooth or textured, and the lettering depth, subtle raised or bold raised.

Step 3: colours

Choose one colour for the lettering and one for the canvas. If you choose the same colour for both, the Builder will warn you, because words disappear into a canvas of their own colour. The colours shown on your screen are a guide, and we can match a paint reference if you have one.

Step 4: your details

Add your name, email, phone number and address, plus any notes. A summary of your design sits above the form, so you can check size, text, colours, surface and depth one more time. Press Request my quote and your design comes to us.

What happens next

We will be in touch within 24 hours with a quote and a timeline. Production takes up to 20 business days from order confirmation and payment, not including delivery. Because every canvas is made to your design, please check the mockup carefully before you approve it.
